What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When a contact form is used on our site we will only use the personal date provided (such as name and email address) to answer the visitors/members query. We erase all queries periodically after 6-12 months of receipt. Also logged is the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We may use watermark technology on images uploaded to the site to protect them from being stolen or used without permission.

If you use a contact form or register on our site site we will save your name, email address and postal address on our systems with or without the use of cookies. These are for us to be able to communicate with you. These cookies will last for one year.

Your contact information

We will never use your contact information for any purpose other than to communicate with you matters relating to your account, profile, registration or commissions gained through the site. We retain personal data during the time that you are a member of our site. Should you choose to have your account deleted we will erase all data including your contact details from our systems. Should you wish to reinstate your membership you will need to complete the full registration process over again.

We keep your postal address on record for occasions when you may gain commissions and we will need to supply postage labels to send out artworks by courier or ordinary postal services. We will keep a copy of all postal labels and postage receipts, which may contain part or all of your postal address, for 5 years. After this 5 year period these records will be destroyed.
